Golden Police are looking for help from the public to help identify three suspects who robbed a Golden convenience store and held a store clerk hostage at gunpoint.

The incident happened at about 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 15, when three masked suspects entered the Circle K at 17691 West Colfax Ave. According to surveillance video footage, one suspect went behind the counter and held a gun to an employee's neck while the other two stood at the counter with their guns pointed at the employee.

After the suspects collected the money in the register, they physically shoved the employee at gun point into a back room and then robbed the employee of personal belongings. According to police, suspects took a box of Twix bars, two cartons of cigars and $72.51 in cash and change.

Based on witness statements and the video, police are providing the following descriptions of the suspects:

Suspect 1: A six-foot-tall black man who was wearing a black beanie, white and black masks, a black Adidas jacket, blue jeans, white shoes and a black glove on his left hand. He was armed with a black snub nose revolver.

Suspect 2: A black man who was wearing a black hoodie, a gray face covering, gray pants, gray shoes, black gloves and was armed with a handgun.

Suspect 3: A black man who was wearing a gray beanie, a blue hoodie, a white face masks, black pants, black shoes and was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun.

According to surveillance video obtained from a home located in the Golden Terrace neighborhood behind the Circle K, the suspects were dropped off in the street near the home in a dark colored four-door sedan driven by a fourth person. The sedan then backed up and left the area. All three suspects fled the scene on foot.

Golden Police are asking anyone with information about the suspects to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
