Do you love a good wine? We do! At Indulge Bistro and Wine Bar, we love to share our favorite wines with our customers, and one of the ways we’ve been able to serve you this last year is through selling alcohol to go.
Governor Polis signed an executive order last year allowing restaurants the ability to sell alcohol beverages to go. Now, the state legislature is reviewing a bill that would extend this service for another five years.
Colorado restaurants lost about $3 billion altogether in 2020, and, as you know, many restaurants had to close their doors for good. Having alcohol to go for the next few years would give us a little more certainty in these uncertain times.
Thankfully, people are getting vaccinated, capacity restrictions are being lifted, and the restaurant industry is heading toward recovery.
Being able to sell alcohol to go helped us bring in more revenue for the business and staff members were able to earn more. Although alcohol to go will not make up for all of our lost revenue from last year, it will give a much needed boost.
Indulge Bistro and Wine Bar has been in business since 2008, and we look forward to continuing to serve you for years to come.
According to a recent survey by the Colorado Restaurant Association, 85 percent of local adults over age 21 support alcohol to go. Contact your state senator and join us in supporting the passage of alcohol to go legislation, HB21-1027.
