December 8, 2020 marked the first day of open enrollment for Jeffco Public Schools. Parents in the district will have until Jan. 15, 2021 to apply to the school of their choice for their children.

Families of students new to the district, from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, are invited to use the School Finder button in the enrollment section of the District’s website to find their neighborhood school or other school options and then contact the school they’re interested in attending to enroll.

Current students who wish to change schools during the school year will need to submit an administrative transfer request to their current school’s principal. If your family has recently moved into the neighborhood of your new school choice, no administrative transfer is necessary.

The paper-based process parents might be used to is being replaced with with a digital system. According to a statement on the district’s website, the digital system has been expanded

to make school information easier to access, streamline processes, ensure the same timeline for all schools and give schools more planning time for the next school year.

Details about special education, homeless students and administrative transfers can be found in the main Enrollment page at jeffcopublicschools.org if you’re unable to complete your registration through EnrollJeffco.
