The Golden Civic Foundation has announced that its annual fundraising gala beat its annual fundraising goal, raising more than $150,000 to benefit community schools, nonprofits and organizations.

The foundation gives out community grants every year, with a goal of making a positive impact on the quality of life of Golden citizens.

Sponsors for this year’s gala included the Coors Brewing Company, Confluence Companies as well as more than 55 other community businesses who donated money and in-kind support.

More than 350 companies and Golden residents donated silent and live auction items. More than 50 volunteers also helped make the gala a success, according to the foundation.
