A rite of summer

Heavy rain means the chance of driving through a puddle or two. Such was the case Aug. 16 near Santa Fe Drive and West Mississippi Avenue. The heavy rain was a continuation of monsoon rain from Aug. 15. Some areas of town got 3 inches of rain. The rain gauge at the airport measured 0.1 of an inch.
